August Monthly Progress Report

August was a very special month at Tim’s Club.

After so many months focused on building the physical space, we’re now getting to watch something even more exciting happen: the community is building.

We now have regular weekly classes, new people discovering Tim’s Club, and more opportunities to use this space for exactly what we created it for.

Here’s what happened in August 👇

🧘 Our Weekly Classes Are Growing!

This month, we officially welcomed two regular classes to Tim’s Club!

Every Friday, Lauchlin leads our community yoga class, and we now have regular Tai Chi classes with Adrian as well.

It has been wonderful seeing people come through each week, enjoy the space, meet one another, and start making Tim’s Club part of their routine. ➡️ Click here to see our full class schedule! We'd love to have you join us!

And there’s an important reason we’re building these community classes.

All proceeds from our yoga, Tai Chi, and other community classes help us create special events, classes, and opportunities for individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities.

This month, we got to see that model come to life for the first time 💛

🍕 A Very Special Pizza-Making Party

Thanks in part to the support of our growing community classes, we were able to host a special pizza-making party at Tim’s Club for individuals with disabilities and their families.

And while making pizza is certainly fun (and delicious!), there’s also a surprising amount to learn along the way.

Everyone got to make their own pizza from start to finish – working with the dough, following the different steps, choosing their ingredients and toppings, and creating something that was completely their own.

It’s exactly the kind of activity we love being able to offer at Tim’s Club: a chance to practice skills, make choices, try something new, and build confidence – all while having fun and spending time together.

A huge thank you to our friend Antoine, who brought his pizza oven and helped make the afternoon possible.

🧘‍♀️ Thank You, Tracey!

We had another special addition to Tim’s Club this month.

Our friend Tracey generously donated yoga mats and blocks and hosted a special Yin yoga class in the rancho.

We’re so grateful for the donation. Having our own equipment means we can continue growing our classes and have what we need to welcome even more people into the space.

Thank you, Tracey! 💛

🐴 Coming in September: A Very Special Visitor

We also have something particularly exciting planned for September – a horse is coming to Tim’s Club! 🐴

Equine-assisted therapy uses interaction with horses to support skills such as confidence, communication, emotional regulation, coordination, and connection. And participants don’t necessarily need to ride. Simply grooming, leading, walking alongside, or spending time with a horse can all be part of the experience.

We’ll be bringing a horse right to Tim’s Club and inviting individuals with disabilities and their families to join us for this extra-special event.

We’re really excited to be able to offer a completely different kind of experience and another opportunity to learn, connect, and try something new.

We can’t wait to share photos with you afterward!

🎯 Our Focus for September

Our biggest focus for September is simple: getting the word out about our weekly community classes.

Our rancho can welcome around 20 participants per class, and we would love to start filling those spaces each week.

If you’re in the area, come join us! And if you have friends or family nearby who might enjoy yoga, Tai Chi, or one of our other upcoming events, we’d be so grateful if you shared Tim’s Club with them.

Remember, when you participate in one of our community classes, you’re not only doing something good for yourself – you’re helping us create more opportunities for individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities, too.

💛 Thank You

Thank you to everyone who has taught a class, attended an event, donated, volunteered, shared our posts, or simply followed along.

Tim's Club is really starting to come to life now! 🍃

We can’t wait to show you what September brings.

With gratitude,

Louise & team
