October Monthly Progress Report

Apologies for the delay on our monthly report. Last week, we received some devastating news. Tim and I lost our aunt Christine unexpectedly. This monthly report is dedicated to her.

For Christine ❤️

Christine deeply understood the importance of what we are building at Tim’s Club — a beacon of support and resources for families with loved ones with autism & intellectual disabilities. She was our earliest and most enthusiastic supporter, always eager for updates, and actively spreading the word about our mission.

Christine’s legacy is built on love, fierce advocacy, and relentless support. Christine's spirit will forever be a guiding light for Tim’s Club, and we’ll push forward knowing she continues to watch over us.

You left us too soon, but your impact endures.

Thank you, Christine, for everything.

A Sweet Surprise ☀️

I’d been racking my brain trying to figure out how to get the land cleared for Tim’s Club. It was completely overgrown, and we needed it cleared before we could map it out and start making real progress.

Our friends pulled off the ultimate surprise this month 🎉 They spent the entire day clearing the land for us. When we arrived and saw what they had done, I was absolutely blown away. It was such a beautiful reminder of the power of community and how much support we have for this project.

A massive thank you to Izzy, Jorge, Jacquie, Manuel, Riccardo, David, and Jorge for all their hard work! Tim’s Club is incredibly lucky to have friends like you 🌈 See the full video here.

Progress on the Land 🔨

First up, we got a topographic map done of the land! This was required so that our architect Nelly could make sure she was using the space & elevations in the best way possible. Check it out here 👇

Here's what Nelly told us about the land:

The land has some really great qualities - open views of the fields with mountains in the background, which creates such a peaceful vibe. Perfect for the therapeutic and recreational spaces we want to develop. There are lots of mature trees already providing natural shade, ideal for setting up seating areas. Plus, the terrain changes gradually in elevation, so the architecture can fit right into the landscape.

For the layout, I'm thinking of a central courtyard approach, to create shared spaces in the middle. We're going to work in zones, so we have quiet spaces and acoustic separation between the different areas.

This land is a great fit for creating a calming, supportive environment, and with a thoughtful layout that works with the land's natural features, it can become a truly welcoming and accessible space that enhances the well-being of everyone who visits.

We also received her proposal this month. Nelly significantly cut down her fees for us for our project. She has a brother with autism also, and our project is very near and dear to her heart.

What's next for Tim's Club ☀️

We have some exciting fundraisers planned for November and December so that we can move forward with the design process ASAP.

Every month, we get closer and closer to bringing Tim's Club to life.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for cheering us on and believing in what we're building!
