March Monthly Progress Report
March has been our most exciting month yet – the land is transforming before our eyes and we couldn't wait to share the latest with you.
Here's what March brought…
🛖 Our outdoor movement space is taking shape
Our outdoor movement space is coming together beautifully. The roof is now complete, and the full structure will be finished by April 15th.
Seeing it standing there – with the mountains in the background – is honestly surreal. This is where gentle exercise, yoga and movement classes, programming for our members and community gatherings will happen.
We're planning to put it to use straight away by hosting yoga classes as in-person fundraisers.
In addition to completing the roof, we also:
– Planted 10 palm trees to protect the outdoor movement space
– Built a fence to secure the property
– Began septic installation
📚 What's next – Building the classrooms
We've launched a fundraising campaign to build the classrooms at Tim's Club – where our day program for people with intellectual disabilities will be held, alongside art, music, and education classes open to the whole community.
So far we've raised $30,000 of our $50,660 goal and construction is already underway. We're so grateful for every contribution that's got us this far – and any help to close that final $20,000 gap would mean the world to us.
🎉 Surprising Moment
The First Lady of Panama recently posted about visiting a cafe in the US that employs people with Down syndrome and autism – and shared that she wanted to bring that model to Panama 😯 We couldn't believe it when we saw it. That's exactly what Tim's Club is. We're doing everything we can to get in touch with her and show her that it's already being built, right here.
💛 Thank you
Every single donation is showing up in these photos. What started as a piece of land is becoming a real place – where people with intellectual disabilities get to learn, work, and belong.
More photos and updates coming very soon.
With gratitude,
Louise & team
